25 kV, 200A Loadbreak Elbow(25-LE200)
Product Code: 25-LE200
The Chardon Loadbreak Elbow is a fully shielded, submersible and insulated termination for connecting underground cables to transformers, switchgear, and other apparatus equipped with loadbreak bushings, junctions, or other loadbreak connectors. The bushing insert and loadbreak elbows are the primary components in all ANSI/IEEE loadbreak
connections.
The Chardon Loadbreak Elbow meets all the requirements of IEEE Standard 386,and is fully interchangeable with competitor’s products and mating products that also meet IEEE Standard 386.

Why do we need both measurements?
The conductor cross-section (e.g., 95 mm²) is standardized and almost always printed on the cable jacket or listed in datasheets. However, cables with the exact same conductor can have vastly different Insulation Outer Diameters depending on their voltage class and the manufacturer's design.
While some catalogs provide the nominal Insulation O.D., manufacturing tolerances mean the real diameter can differ. That is why verifying the exact dimension using an appropriate tool, such as a caliper, is highly recommended before specifying your medium voltage accessory.
1. Sizing the Separable Connector or Termination
The accessory body (adapter or cold shrink) stretches over the insulation. A precise interference fit is critical to eliminate air gaps and control the electric field.
Requires exact Insulation O.D. (mm)
2. Sizing the Metallic Lug
The internal connector (compression or shear-bolt) must perfectly match the core to safely carry the electrical current without overheating.
Requires exact Conductor Size (mm²)
